Dominique Murray is an author, entrepreneur, and advocate whose work explores the courage it takes to define yourself beyond the roles others assign you. Raised by a strong-willed mother, Dominique spent much of her early life learning to separate her own voice from the expectations around her. The journey toward becoming her own woman was not without cost, but it shaped her belief that meaningful choices often require sacrifice—and that duty, integrity, and personal fulfillment must sometimes be held in difficult balance.
In college, she began shedding the feelings of inadequacy that had followed her for years. She found purpose in service: tutoring high school students, mentoring disadvantaged women in marginalized communities, volunteering with the Boys & Girls Club of America, serving as a career counselor, supporting her church community at Soul City, and becoming a foster care provider. Those experiences deepened her commitment to helping others recognize their own potential.
As her professional career grew, Dominique redirected her creative energy into business writing, leadership, and entrepreneurship, eventually founding a skin technology company. Although she thrived in innovative, creative environments, she continued to feel drawn toward a more personal form of expression. After two decades of pursuing conventional definitions of success, she returned to writing—taking classes, refining her craft, and reclaiming her authentic voice.
Through fiction, Dominique invites readers to question inherited systems, confront the price of conformity, and imagine futures shaped by truth, compassion, and self-determination.
