The pre-launch promotional kick-off event for my speculative fiction novel took place at the stunning Chateau Elan Resort in Braselton, GA—a place that feels straight out of a storybook with its rolling vineyards, elegant architecture, and luxurious charm. From the moment I arrived, I was in awe of the scenery. But what truly made the day unforgettable were the beautiful, brilliant, book-loving ladies of the "Friends on the Southside" book club.
These women brought so much warmth, wisdom, and curiosity to the table. We dove deep into the key themes of the novel—identity, feminism, love, gender dynamics, and power—and the discussions that followed were nothing short of electric. It was clear that this group doesn’t just read—they feel, question, and challenge... exactly the kind of readers every author dreams of connecting with.
Of course, I couldn’t resist dropping a few juicy hints about what’s to come in the book: think red herrings, intense romance, thrilling twists, and yes... possibly a cliffhanger that will leave you breathless. The buzz in the room was palpable, and I left with full heart—and a sense that the story is already sparking something special.
No celebration is complete without a little indulgence, and Chateau Elan delivered. We savored delicious bites, sipped exquisite wines on a guided tour through the vineyard, and soaked in the resort's incredible ambiance. It was the perfect blend of celebration, sisterhood, and storytelling.
